Hospital procedures require the synchronization of a complex series of parallel activities realized by a set of actors (not necessarily communicating) in different areas. Given the context of some activities, which is typically mission/life-critical, it is essential to ensure that procedures are properly executed by the authors. QIRIS’ research aims to identify a system for designing standard hospital procedures, to minimize the likelihood of errors due to incongruences or inconsistencies, and to monitor and evaluate their performance over time.
