Social inclusion of people with disabilities

Assistive technology evolves at a speed which is not comparable to that of all other systems that allow interfacing users and computers. Therefore, despite technical advances in components, aids for the disabled are still bound to traditional interaction models. QIRIS is exploring new ways for achieving computer-mediated communication through natural interfaces  including alternative interactive features. QIRIS’ technology in addition to enhancing the user experience and to empowering the social inclusion, allow considerable cost savings, thanks to low-cost components and accurate design.
